Well for one when people say “its just a preference” it isn’t something that you can’t help. People have reasons for preferences and if they say “its just a preference” and have no reason for it then they are just an irrational human being if they have no reasoning behind what they claim they prefer. Sexual orientation is not a preference, it is something you are born with. People don’t come out the womb saying “I’m just not attracted to PoC.” That is something that you are taught, it is something that is the product of direct or indirect influences.
Its never just a preference if you don’t have a solid reason for it.
Waking up every day in defense mode is what makes me mad & exhausts me. It’s what wipes me out…
When it comes to saying you aren't attracted black people because it's your "preference" how do you feel about people who reply with "what about gay people, they can't help who they're attracted to blah blah blah." Someone used that argument once and I wasn't sure how to reply so I was wondering like how you guys would reply if someone said that to you?
This shit here. RIGHT. HERE.
For real though!!!!!!!!!!!
Watching “Hard Candy”, I love watching Ellen Page’s character not only captures & tortures the predator, but also gives him lectures on rape culture, victim blaming & feminism while doing so, lol…
Being a part of @TEDxAustinWomen was one of the best days of my life. Happy International Women’s Day!!
The details of the video I don't recall, but I was listening to my professor's lecture on entrepreneurship, and one line was really striking - if someone wants to start a business, they should be committed to making it a success, they can't just treat it as a hobby - otherwise it would definitely fail. And that reminded me of your video. Can't really expound on the significance of it, but all I can think is that you're cool, so yeah.
